2015 Crucibilist

Prior to Stirling, Sabine was a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire de Biodiversité et Biotechnologies Microbiennes. Université Paris, and a Research fellow at the Département de Protéomique et Microbiologie Environementale. Université de Mons, Belgium. Sabine undertook her PhD at both the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) and the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (France).

During the past 10 years, Sabine’s career and projects have focused on the physiological and molecular responses of model microorganisms to damaging radiation, using truly state of the art proteomics approaches, which are still rare even at international level. Her expertise centres on microbial ecology and photobiology, with strong skills in molecular biology and proteomics.
