Jonathan is a lecturer in mathematics at the University of St Andrews. His research interests include: fractal geometry, geometric measure theory, ergodic theory, Fourier analysis, probability theory, and connections with other areas of mathematics.

Before moving to St Andrews in August 2016, Jonathan was a lecturer at the University of Manchester and, before that, an EPSRC funded research fellow at the University of Warwick. He completed his PhD in June 2013 at the University of St Andrews. Hw was also an undergraduate at St Andrews from 2005 to 2009. Jonathan was born in Glasgow in 1987 and attended both Carolside Primary School and Williamwood High School, before his family moved to the north of Scotland in 2001, where he attended Dornoch Academy.Â
