Scottish Crucible – inspiring excellent research and building innovative capacity.

Scottish Crucible inspires highly promising researchers to be more ambitious, creative and innovative while helping to forge new interdisciplinary research collaborations.  Participants gain a unique opportunity to broaden their networks with senior colleagues from different sectors, including the Scottish Funding Council, Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament, business and industry.

In the past 10 years, Scottish Crucible has benefited by being hosted and sponsored by 21 different organisations in Scotland.  In addition, numerous experts from different sectors gave their time to contribute to programme events at no cost to Scottish Crucible in a true spirit of academic collegiality.
