Dr Anina Glumac

Research Scientist at the University of Luxembourg

Research Scientist at Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust, University of Luxembourg

Dr Anina Glumac is a Research Scientist at Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), located at University of Luxembourg. She completed her studies in Civil Engineering at University of Belgrade, Serbia, and doctoral studies at Ruhr University Bochum, Germany. Before joining University of Luxembourg, Anina was an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Civil Engineering at University of Belgrade, Serbia.

Anina’s research relates to some specific challenges related to wind engineering, such as bridge aerodynamics, building aerodynamics and recently wind energy harvesting. Methods include the use of computational fluid dynamics, model-scale wind tunnel tests but also expanding towards data assimilation techniques and machine learning.

In 2019 Anina was awarded with MC Individual Fellowship and as well Luxembourgish National Foundation Fellowship with the project called “Data-Driven Approach for Urban Wind Energy Harvesting – DATA4WIND”, aiming to develop data assimilation and machine learning framework for improving prediction of wind energy potential in urban areas.
